These richly coloured plants will help create an eye-catching display towards the front of the border. Alternatively, pot them up and add a splash of colour to the patio.

In this collection you will receive three of each of the following plants. They are all supplied in a 9cm nursery pot.

Heuchera ‘Obsidian’ (PBR): Striking new semi-evergreen variety of Heuchera with glossy jet black-maroon leaves darkening as the season progresses. Cream flowers appear in June-July providing a stunning contrast to the leaves. Ideal plant for the front of the border or for a beautiful display in terracotta pots. Grows to 45cm.

Veronica spicata Royal Candles = ‘Glory’ (PBR) Dense, slender spires of star-shaped, deep blue-purple flowers from June to August above hairy, toothed green leaves. This marvellous speedwell is guaranteed to create an impact at the front of a mixed or herbaceous border. To thrive it requires a well-drained soil as plants that become waterlogged over winter are unlikely to survive. Grows to 50cm.

Planting tips: Prepare the bed well by digging in lots of composted organic matter before you plant. For best results it is essential that the plants are kept well watered for the first year, particularly during warmer weather.
